Katia Cherevako is the director of Global Children’s Assistance, Belarus.
Five years ago as Global Children’s Assistance’s vision was being born it
was in Katia’s heart to start a sponsorship program that would help families
to become functional and whole.  She had volunteered in children’s programs in orphanages for many years and saw the effects that a poor family situation can
lead to and saw this mentorship of families being able to change those lives into something worthwhile.

Katia is a working mother with 2 small girls; Sophia and Katirina.
Her husband Kostia is a local businessman
.

Tanya

Tanya Onkuda is the newest member of our staff and she joined us in the
summer of 2007.  Before leaving her job that she had for 15 years as a
kindergarten teacher she was one of the volunteer mentors that would
visit the families each week.  She also started to host kids in her home on
a weekly basis to gather for practical learning skills.

Tanya is married and has a 14 year old son.

Irena is our accountant for Global Children’s Assistance.  This is a full time job
to keep all the paperwork and to have all activites to be completed in a legal
manner.  She has worked for Charitable Organizations in Belarus for many
years and we are pleased that she is part of our staff.

Irena has a 15 year old daughter.

Natasha Karienka has volunteered in many different children’s programs
through the years.  She also has a degree in English language which is very
helpful in communication between the sponsors and their children.  Natasha
always has had a heart for children who are in need.
